Transnational Tanteidan Forum Beijing 2009　

Date: 16th October 2009
Venue: Beijing GuoZiJian ( the Imperial College during the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties).

This year, the 8th annual forum will be hosted by Beijing. Since the climax of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, we will also have the opportunity to see how the city has changed and adjusted. This is the closest the forum has come to Japan in many years, an excellent opportunity for all of you to join us at the event!

The forum theme this year is "People's Lighting Ecology". As quite a number of new energy saving laws and CO2 reduction regulations have been established and increasing its number thesedays, lighting designers are now facing to many of new challenges. In a way, the situation of the time limit options of lighting design, however, in other way, it may be a chance for lighting design to evolve into another better stage. Moreover, what is important is to enjoy ecology lighting! With this theme, the forum takes new and different style that there will be panel discussion byTransnational Tanteidan core members.

Also, workshop in Beijing city is planned before the Forum. With Tanteidan core members, students from Tokyo, Stockholm and Beijing will be out for light-shadow hunt in Beijing. What we discover is to be presented to public at the Forum.
