Okinawa, Ginowan

As the sun sets, darkness gradually envelops the scene, while the runway approach lights and taxiway lights gleam, almost as if weaving through the shadows of the city. The base facilities beside the runway are illuminated by sodium lamps, and this broad illumination does not coexist with the surrounding residential areas, which are lit by streetlights in the 4000K to 5000K range. This appearance of distinct patches of light emerging in various parts of the island is a sight characteristic of a base town.
