  • Warm and moody old town in Taiwan

The photo was taken in an old district in Taiwan. The lighting on the balcony provided a warm and moody ambient light in keeping with the old town's historical feeling.

Instead of detail and careful lighting design we are familiar with today, this kind of old lighting in the past maintains the sense of community identity. The gloomy street feels like telling a story in the early chapters of Taiwan, which creates a different vibe from a modern city.

Is this a Hero or a Villain to you?

    MENDE'S JUDGE

Everyone vote for a Hero on the atmosphere created by the warm, dusky light.

I too love the incandescent light in the old town.

However, I would not use downlights for the balcony, but floor mounted lights.

Because that way it would look like the light spills out naturally.
